Do I have to pay everything upfront?
Not at all! To reserve your date, we require a 50% non-refundable booking retainer. The remaining balance can be paid anytime up to 30 days before your event, giving you plenty of flexibility while ensuring your date is secured.
Do you provide the alcohol?
To stay in accordance with Missouri liquor laws, The Wandering Tavern does not provide or sell alcohol. Instead, we proudly serve the beverages you provide.
Think of us as your trusted quartermasters—we'll help chart the course by creating a personalized shopping list based on your guest count, bar menu, and hours of service. You'll purchase the beer, wine, and spirits, and we'll take it from there, serving your guests with professionalism and exceptional hospitality.
Do you only bartend weddings?
Absolutely not! While weddings are one of our favorite celebrations, The Wandering Tavern is happy to bring the tavern to just about any gathering.
Whether you're hosting a birthday party, anniversary, corporate event, holiday party, fundraiser, reunion, engagement party, retirement party, or private event, we're here to help create an unforgettable experience.
Most of our guests don't drink alcohol. Do you have a package for that?
Absolutely! Every celebration is different, and we're happy to customize your experience to fit your guests. Whether you're looking for handcrafted mocktails, a refreshing beverage station, or a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, we'll work with you during your Vision Planning Consultation to create the perfect menu for your event.
Do you travel?
We sure do! The Wandering Tavern is available for events anywhere in Missouri. For events located more than 15 miles from our home base of Jefferson City, a travel fee of $2.00 per mile(Round Trip) applies.
If your event is 2 hours or more away and bartending services extend past 10:00 PM, we ask that a hotel room be provided so our crew can travel home safely. No matter where your celebration takes place, we're always happy to hit the road and bring the tavern to you! For the safety of our team and your friends, our last call is at 11:45 PM and the bar closes at Midnight sharp.
